Not all cases of varicose veins actually need professional medical treatment. Varicose vein cream can help in a lot of situations. More on this soon.

Minor causes that don’t cause pain or discomfort can even be left alone. In fact a lot of the population has at least some spider veins somewhere on their body. That being said most people like to treat them simple because they don’t like the look. So it’s for purely cosmetic reasons.

There are generally three main reasons for real treatment:

  1. As mentioned just before. Pure cosmetic reasons.
  2. To reduce real pain and discomfort that is being caused.
  3. To treat other complications that can arise from varicose veins. Such as swelling and ulcers.

Next lets talk about the available treatments.

Are there Natural Treatments for Varicose Veins?

Yes, there are! That is what I’m about and what I stand for! Varicose vein creams are great. But first lets talk lifestyle changes.

You can easily implement three steps to improve your skin condition. These steps are more effective when you are in early stages aposed to later stages that need more drastic treatment measures:

  1. Get more active! Think about it for a moment. You have blood flow issue? Get moving and get the blood flowing.
  2. Avoid standing for long periods of time. This will help as your body will have to ‘pump’ less blood around your body.
  3. When you are resting elevate you legs. For example when you watch your favorite TV show or Netflix. Put your feet on a pillow so you feet are higher than your heart. This will help your blood flow naturally with the use of gravity.

These three simple steps will help you get your blood flowing without excess stress on your circulatory system. Below I’m going to be covering some other things you should be implementing in addition to the self care I just talked about. If you want to speed up the treatment of your varicose veins this I highly recommend you get yourself Venorex. It’s a create to treat varicose veins and you can read more about it on the homepage of Healthy Skin Lab.

Other than using Venorex varicose vein cream something else to try is the ketosis diet. there jury is out there if this really works but if you do some research you will find that people have claimed by implementing the lifestyle chaining their way of eating to be ketosis based their varicose veins cleared up.

But this is an extreme measure. The ketosis diet is made up of about 90% fat. So some people just can’t handle that mentally. It’s a lot of fat to [email protected] But it is an option.

Medical Treatments

Like I mentioned before there might times that varicose vein cream is not a suitable option. This is normally the later stages of varicose veins when one is in pain all the time.

Although I prefer natural treatment options I understand the need for going the medical route if there really is a need for that option. So here are the options that are available:

Radio-frequency Ablation

To not get all medical on you this treatment option basically uses heat. The wall of the effected vein is warmed up with radio-frequency energy. At the end of the day this basically shuts down your vein. Then your body will reroute your blood through another vein.

It’s really that simple. And I’m sure you can see why I like to go for natural treatments. Closing off vein! What happens if you get issues with your healthy veins in the future?

At the end of the day if it’s needed it’s needed. But it’s fully preventable if you start to look after yourself before hand with what I talked about above and don’t get to the point of needing radio-frequency ablation.

Sclerotherapy

To keep this treatment simple imagine and understandable. A special foam like substance gets inserted into the varicose vein that needs treatment under anesthetic.

This means the vein is blocked off just like radio-frequency ablation and the blood is forced to find another route to head up to your heart. This means the swelling around the vein starts to disappear and eventually it clears right up.

Again, don’t let it get to this point. The natural solution is much better as long as you don’t need a medical solution.

EVLA – Endovenous Laser Ablation

This treatment is similar to the other two options I’ve mentioned. In this case a laser is used to get heat into the vein. And the end results is just like the other options. The vein will close itself off and the body will reroute your blood to another vein. And again the swelling will eventually go away as the vein is no longer in use.

Ligation and Stripping

This procedure does not use heat. To put it simply the effected varicose vein will be tied off and then the vein will be entirely removed. So naturally the swelling and pain will fade away as you there is no longer a vein causing issues.

Ligation and stripping is the most invasive procedure by far. But that being said it’s the most permanent solution. As a vein that no longer exists can cause future issues. For example what is the heat seals from one of the other procedure breaks? It needs to be redone right. But that can’t happen when the vein is fully removed.

If you go for this procedure you should expect the be confided to bed rest for at least a few weeks.
